My Sista My Friend History
Annie Ruth &
Sisterhood
Sisterhood has always been an empowering force in Annie Ruth's life. In
2000 she created a sister poster and photography project, utilizing photographer
Clatties Moorer, along with diverse women from the Cincinnati community
to send a message of universal sisterhood through art.

For numerous years Annie Ruth has visited schools throughout the region. She has presented in national conferences and collaborated with organizations such as African American Women on Tour, the National Council of Negro Women, National Speaking of Women's Health Foundation, and numerous others. In 2002 She released her debut CD, "Soul of a Sister" and Annie Ruth's song, "My Sista My Friend" has become an anthem for sisterhood groups across the country.
