Andrea P. Thomas, Psalmist

Andrea is an anointed psalmist and singer songwriter who has touched the lives of thousands with her melodious voice. Gifted in many areas of music, she has a background in classical, jazz, gospel and contemporary delivery. Andrea has been a part of dada rafiki since its inception and adoring fans always request her performances.

Kai Kweol Caribbean Music & Dance

Kai Kweol Caribbean Music and Dance was established to promote the understanding and appreciation of Caribbean Culture and the performing arts and to help bridge the gap among people of different racial and cultural backgrounds. The company is based in Cincinnati and is directed by Flora Leptak-Moreau who grew up in Dominica. The word Kai Kweol is Creole-language for "Creole House," which is literally a form of folk architecture, but metaphorically refers to the multicultural world that we all live in. The organization draws upon the traditions of the English, French, and Spanish Caribbean, with their many contributing influences.

Arts of Excellence Youth Dancers

Arts for Excellence is an interpretive dance organization established by jacqueline McClure to expose youth in the community to positive, cultural and inspired movement. During Dada Rafiki, four young sisters,under the direction of Jacqueline McClure will present a performance "Better People" that both interprets the music and brings generations of women and young sisters together, culminating the evening of inspiration.

Janice NaPier

Janice NaPier, Recording Artist, Kingdom Lyrics


Angelic is the only word, which adequately describes her musical talents. She is God's anointed Gospel Minister of song, blessed with the ability to sing in an array of styles; traditional, contemporary, praise, and worship. She has been privileged to perform many concerts throughout her hometown and surrounding communities of Kentucky and Indiana.

Janice has performed on concert stages with many renowned artists such as Dr. Charles Fold and the Charles Fold Singers, Mr. Willie Neal Johnson and the Gospel Keynotes, the Mighty Clouds Joy and Andrea Crouch. She was Guest Soloist at the Shirley Caesars' Outreach Ministry Crusade Convention in Durham, North Carolina, the Gospel Music Workshop of America, in Washington D.C. and Janice has appeared on Singsation, the #1 Gospel television station in Chicago hosted by the great gospel singer Vickie Winans, and made guest appearances on local television and radio programs.

Many fans have been blessed by her inspiring lyrics and smooth melodious voice, which captivates and ministers to their various needs.

 

 

Leslie Marie Calhoun

Leslie Marie Calhoun, Poet, Inspirational Speaker/Writer

Leslie Marie Calhoun, Poet/Inspirational Speaker and Writer resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. Licensed and Ordained Minister, Leslie serves as a Hamilton County Adult Jail Chaplain and Associate Minister with Zion Global Ministries in West Chester, Ohio. Leslie’s passion is to engage females of all racial, cultural, spiritual, and economic levels in such as way that they begin seeing I themselves the worth that God manifests in them before the beginning of time—thus while they are yet in their mother’s womb.

Annie Ruth

Annie Ruth, Host of Dada Rafiki, Poet and Performing Artist

Annie Ruth is a dynamic sister who utilizes her positive voice to inspire women nationally. She is an award-winning spoken word artist/poet, author, and visual artist who shares a message of universal sisterhood and exhorts women from all walks of life to embrace the power of a positive self-image and walk in their unique gifting.

Annie Ruth describes her work as a "reflection of her positive spirit" because she simply pours out what God has poured into her. In 2002 she released an inspirational CD entitled Soul of a Sister and her song My Sista, My Friend is rapidly becoming an anthem for women’s groups across the country. Annie Ruth is active within the community, leading causes that impact women, children, the arts, and literacy.

She has a passion for empowering women and has consistently established sisterhood projects that benefit the community at large.
