Annie Ruth is the founder and president of A. Ruth Creations, a fine arts company that distributes her work nationally and Eye of the Artists Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit arts mentoring organization. She shares from her heart— addressing topics relevant to self-esteem, creativity and sisterhood.
Who is Annie Ruth
Annie Ruth is a dynamic sister who utilizes her positive voice to inspire women nationally. She is an award-winning artist, poet, and author who shares a message of universal sisterhood and exhorts women from all walks of life to embrace the power of a positive self-image and walk in their unique gifting. Annie Ruth describes her work as a reflection of her positive spirit. She has been married to Gerald Napier for 28 years and they have two beautiful adult children, Cameron and Gerian.
Annie Ruth earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from National University in San Diego, California and is a trailblazer who has received critical acclaim for her work as an artist and poet. She is the author and illustrator of numerous books, articles and inspirational commentaries. In 2002 she released an inspirational CD entitled Soul of a Sister and her song My Sista, My Friend rapidly became an anthem for women’s groups across the country.
Dada Rafiki and My Sista My Friend are the registered trade names of Artist/Poet Annie Ruth. Programming and curriculum are produced by Eye of the Artists Foundation, a 501(c) 3 non-profit arts and education charity.
Annie Ruth created the My Sista, My Friend Young Women's Conference to empower young women and Dada Rafiki was created to honor positive sisters in the community through art.
